Being the first Bulgarian to ever play in one of the world’s best leagues, Brazil’s Superliga, Elitsa deserves the Volleywood Spotlight!
At 22, Elitsa is one of Europe’s brightest young volleyball stars. She has played in the Italian League previously for powerhouse club team Bergamo (with Francesca Piccinini) and Perugia.
Her success with Bulgaria’s women’s national team includes 2 silvers and 1 bronze in the European League since 2010. The 194cm beauty was also awarded as the Best Scorer and Best Spiker in this year’s edition. Elitsa and Team Bulgaria have also qualified for the 2013 edition of the most prestigious women’s annual tournament, the FIVB World Grand Prix.
In Brazil, she plays for club team Amil coached by 3 time Olympic gold medalist Ze Roberto Guimaraes, Olympic champions Fernandinha and Walewska and 2004 bronze medalist from Cuba Daymi Ramirez.
