One of Greece’s best volleyball players of all time passed away a couple days ago.
Anna Xerikou died at the age of 44 in Brazil due to sepsis while recovering from a gastric sleeve surgery. Anna played for Greece numerous times and previously played for domestic club teams like Milonas, ZAON, Drapetsona and Olympiacos. She also won a national championship title in beach volleyball.
