Opposite hitter and two time European Championship silver medalist Manon Flier reveals via nos.nl that she is PREGNANT!
She and her husband Reinder Nummerdor, beach volleyball player, is expecting their first baby due mid next year.
Manon says:
“I have spent the last few years dreaming to play in the Olympics and to become a mother. In the end, starting a family is the bigger dream.”
With this news, Manon is NOT going to play for The Netherlands next month at the European Olympic Qualification Tournament in Turkey. As for her volleyball career, she has not revealed her future plans. For now, her main focus is her family.
After representing her country for more than 400 matches, it’s now family over volleyball for the 31 year old.
