The players of the men’s senior national team of Serbia recently paid visit to the University Children’s Hospital in Tirsova Street in the country’s capital. The action was part of the ‘Volleyball Connects’ campaign which the Volleyball Federation of Serbia and the ‘Vip mobile’ company, its general sponsor, are carrying out with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Serbia.

The delegation of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia consisted of Mr Slobodan Milosevic, Secretary General, and Mr Zoran Avramovic, Marketing Director. They were welcomed by Prof. Zoran Radojicic, Director of the Children’s Hospital, and Assistant Professor Sinisa Ducic, Deputy Director of the Clinic.

Dragan Stankovic, team captain of the Serbian national team, presented Professor Radojicic with a t-shirt featuring the script ‘Our side of the net’ and a ball with the signatures of all players and members of the coaching staff of the senior men’s national team of Serbia.

The Volleyball players then visited the young patients staying at the departments of hematology and neurology and presented them with gifts and souvenirs specially prepared for the occasion.

“This is a very nice gesture. I think the kids will be very pleased when they meet the athletes. Also, I think this will be very important for the team and their moral, because they have to know that they bring joy to the hearts of our young children today,” Professor Radojicic said.

“Thanks for hosting us. Also, I want to thank our players because they initiated this meeting. They are great athletes and even better persons,” said Mr Slobodan Milosevic, Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia.
