Kim’s New Sport

1-2-3 Surprise!

2008 Olympic silver medalist, Kim Willoughby, arrived in Puerto Rico last week to start practicing for the upcoming volleyball basketball season with Valencianas de Juncos del Baloncesto Superior Nacional Femenino (BSNF).

The basketball officially starts on August 19th, 2011.

In case you didn’t know, Kim played for the same team 6 years ago and led the squad to its first ever championship crown. Kim averaged 17.9 points & 12.4 rebounds per game. Based on these numbers, Kim excels in basketball.

Anyways, we thought she was going to play volleyball overseas since her suspension ended last month. She is such a talented volleyball player and we really want her to give the sport another shot. Despite the trouble she has dealt with in the past, the volleyball world has room for her comeback.

Above all, we respect her decision if she wants to play basketball for now so we wish her the best with her new passion!

Thoughts?
