That Was Quick Nicole!
After getting dumped getting replaced by Kerri Walsh as her partner this season, USAV has reported that Nicole Branagh is teaming up with Angie Akers.
Who is she? Who is Angie? Well, we must admit we don’t know much about Angie but we found her full bio on USA Volleyball’s site and you can you check it out by clicking THIS.
Angie used to play with Tyra Turner – who is now pregnant with her first child – and the duo had a couple of great finishes last season: SILVER in Seoul, Korea and BRONZE in The Hague, Netherlands.
It’s going to be a very interesting 2011 season with 3 great American teams going on tour to play against the world’s best teams from Brazil and Japan. USA will be represented by the 2 time Olympic Gold medalists, Kerri and Misty May, 2009 World Champions Jen Kessy and April Ross and joining them will be Nicole and Angie.

We’re so happy Nicole found a great partner and we’re optimistic their partnership will make the upcoming season very competitive!
