After playing for 3 seasons with Lube Macerata, Cristian Savani has decided to continue his professional career outside Italia.
Source says that Savani and Macerata separated in good terms.
“Cristian really loved and enjoyed playing for Macerata. For the upcoming season, he doesn’t really know where to play yet. He has offers from Russia and Turkey. He is still taking his time with his decision. His main priority right now is the welfare of his wife and newborn baby. At this point, Turkey is his winning choice but we just have to wait and see.”
As previously reported, Bartosz Kurek will play for Macerata and will now take Savani’s spot on the team. It looks like Macerata will use the Kurek-Parodi-Zaytsev combo. Also, Dragan Travica has left the Italian club team to play for Belogorie Belgorod in the Russian League.
