Kasia’s Mission In China

Looks like Polish superstar Kasia Skowronska is all business in China.

In an interview with pzps.pl, the 29 year old opposite hitter, who currently plays for Guangdong Evergrande Volleyball Club, aims to defend their Chinese League Crown. In case you didn’t know, this is Kasia’s second season playing in China under coach Jenny Lang Ping. “Of course we want to defend our title!” says Kasia.

The 1.88m beauty adds…

“I must admit that at first I had a huge crisis, but then I learned to live here in China, I started to be part of Asia. Now back to Guangdong, I know what awaits me on the spot. I know what to take, I know where I live and what they look like training and playing. I came to China with great joy. I know that I will have a very hard job here that will hurt me everything, but I was not scared. I had a long vacation, and I’m ready to work hard and new challenges”.

The Chinese League only lasts for 3 and a half months but that doesn’t mean teams like Evergrande take it easy on their training regimen.

“Colleagues often envy on such a short season, but they often do not realize how hard work to be done in such a short time. Preparatory period in China is murderous. Often train eight hours a day.” according to Kasia.

Dang! 8 hours a day? Must be tough but no pain no gain!

In case you didn’t know, Kasia is also playing with 2 other foreign players namely Kim Glass (USA) and Carolina Costagrande (ITA).
