This season is the year of Russian club teams!
After Zenit Kazan’s Champions League victory, Dinamo Moscow managed to win Europe’s second most prestigious volleyball tournament, The CEV Cup. David Lee, Sergei Grankin and Team managed to win 2 matches which both went to a tiebreak against one of Poland’s strongest teams, Resovia.
Match 1: Dinamo Moscow 3-2 Resovia (25-20/ 22-25/ 25-20/ 23-25/ 15-13
Match 2: Dinamo Moscow 3-2 Resovia (28-30/ 25-22/ 26-24/ 24-26/ 15-9)
If Resovia won the second match, then they would’ve played a Golden Set (game to 15) to decide the winner. Whew!
