FIVB Beach Volleyball 2009 Swatch World champions Julius Brink and Jonas Reckermann of Germany have signed up to play in the 2011 NZ Open. This tournament will be from January 22nd until the 23rd in the city of Mount Maunganui and for sure their presence will attract a lot of beach volleyball fans in New Zealand!

All we can say is that we appreciate their participation in this tournament. Not a lot of beach volleyball stars signed up to play due to the prize money (we think) and it’s great to hear that our German BBs are helping to publicize the tourney. As far as we know, the NZ Beach Federation has been having a few $$$ troubles. Great Job BBs! Thank you so much!
