A Thank You Message From Casey Patterson

After he and his beach partner, Jake Gibb, qualified for the 2016 Olympics, Casey Patterson posted a thank you message on his Instagram account.

“I have taken the last couple days to think and reminisce on the last couple years. The last 4 years of my life has changed so much in every aspect. A massive dream of mine has come true. @jakesgibb and I have officially qualified for the 2016 Olympics in Rio 🇧🇷. I have been surrounded by the most amazing team possible on this journey. Jake thank you for believing in me and teaching me so much about the game. Strength coach @tpstrength for putting in so many hours helping through knee pain and building strength. Coach Tyler Hildebrand for being wise beyond his years and helping mold Jake and I into an amazing team. All my sponsors.

My family for all their support and love over the years. But most of all to my beautiful, strong and amazing wife Lexi. She is everything and more than I deserve. Half the year she is a single mom raising our 3 children and manages to dominate every day. Thank you Lexi for making this whole dream possible.”

Joining Patterson and Gibb are Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena. For the women’s side, Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross are already qualified. Kerri is on track to win her 4th consecutive Olympic gold medal.
