3 Time World Champion, Olympic gold and silver medalist, World League multi medalist & many more, Rodrigao, will make his debut in the Turkish League this coming Tuesday for Ziraat Bankasi.
Isn’t that great?
After all the drama he went through with his Brazilian club team last December, Rodrigao has found the light & $$$ at the end of the tunnel.
The Middle Blocker and his new team will play against CSKA Sofia in Bulgaria for the quarterfinals of the CEV Cup (another prestigious European League).
Rodrigao has released this statement:
“The Ziraat offers an excellent infrastructure and has a very strong cast. I was very happy with the proposal that got to play in Turkey and hopefully help the club win national competitions and also the CEV Cup.”
We’re really happy for him! He had a traumatizing experience with his club team in the Superliga wherein he & Marcelinho (currently in Italy) were fired by the coach due to their poor ethics and performances.
Rodri will be Turkey until May 2011.
