Michal Winiarski’s Back Injury Returns

Oh No!

We’ve been informed that 2014 World Champion Michal Winiarski – who has retired from the National Team – is out for a few months due to a BACK INJURY.

In case you didn’t know, Michal hurt his back during the World Championship last year during the match versus Iran. With a lot of pain meds, Michal was able to keep playing until the gold medal match which Poland won.

Sadly, that injury is back.

“The injury is even more serious now. It is more painful. Winiarski must rest for a few months. He may travel to Germany to seek help from the same medical team who has treated Usain Bolt. Everyone is hoping that he will be able to play by January but there’s no guarantee.” a source tells Volleywood.

“This is such a terrible news for his club team, Skra Belchatow, and also to all Polish Fans who were hoping he’d return to the National Team for the upcoming European Olympic Qualification in January.” adds the source.

GET WELL SOON WINIAR!
