Coach Includes Sergey Tetyukhin On 2015 Roster

He’s a living proof that AGE DOES NOT MATTER in volleyball!

40 year old and 2012 Olympic Champion, Sergey Tetyukhin, is part of Russia’s 2015 preliminary roster. The Russian legend last played for the National Team when Russia took gold at the 2012 Olympics.

He may be missing from the international scene but Sergey still plays professional volleyball in Russia.

According to this FIVB article, Sergey has not fully committed to the team and will make a decision very soon.

Russia definitely needs someone like him! He’s very experienced and a great all around player for his age.

As for Russia, they have 4 important tourneys this year: The FIVB World League, European Games, European Championship and World Cup.
