Andrae Björn Leaves Germany

In the event that the coach and the player DO NOT GET ALONG, it’s always the latter that has no choice but to either stay for the sake of representing the national team or to just quit the squad.

Upon Andrae’s departure from the German National Team, coach Vital Heynen released this statement:

“Bjorn had problems to get familiar with the game system. But I think that the biggest problem in the beginning was his physical condition. Andrae had knee problems and therefore he was not able to give the full performance.”

We are two people with different interests and ideas about life, but i see no problem to work with him.”

We just hope the decision was mutual and we expect no drama after.

It looks like the 31 year old who has played for Deutschland since 2001 might be continuing his beach career.

The major highlights of Bjorn’s career would have to be representing Germany at the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympics.

Best wishes Andrae!
