We don’t know on who picked the song nor the criteria that was used but one thing we can say is that WE DON’T LIKE IT at all!

In case you didn’t know, “Survival” by British rock trio Muse has been chosen as the official track for the 2012 London Olympics. According to the band’s frontman, Matt Bellamy, he wrote the Olympics in mind and “expresses a sense of conviction and determination to win.”

Listen To This:

Survival by Muse

Race, life’s a race
And I’m gonna win
Yes, I’m gonna win
And I light the fuse
And I’ll never lose
And I choose to survive

Whatever it takes
You won’t put ahead
I’ll keep up the pace
And I reveal my strenght
To avoid human race
Yes, I am prepared

To stay alive
And I won’t forgive
Vengeance is mine
And I won’t give in
Because I choose to thrive

Yeah we’re gonna win !

Race, it’s a race
And I’m gonna win
Yes, I’m gonna win
And will I light the fuse
I’ll never lose
And I choose to survive

Whatever it takes
You won’t pull ahead
‘Cause I’ll keep up the pace
And I reveal my strenght
To the whole human race
Yes, I’m gonna win !

Fight ! Fight ! Fight ! Fight !
Win ! Win ! Win ! Win !

Yes, I’m gonna win !

We still <3 that 1996 Olympic song "Reach" by Gloria Estefan. Side Dish: 4 other songs have been specially composed for the games, and recorded by Elton John vs. Pnau, Delphic, Chemical Brothers and Dizzee Rascal. They tracks will be released between July 16 and Aug. 6.
