Argentina Fulfills Olympic Dream

After missing the 2008 Olympics, Argentina is finally returning to the Olympic scene in London after winning the South American Olympic Qualification Tournament. Facundo Conte, Luciano De Cecco, Sebastian Sole and Team Argentina were too much to handle for Venezuela in the final match.

Before we forget, we totally <3 Argentina’s new sleeveless uniforms. Look at those arms! Hah!

2012 South American Olympic Qualification Tournament
Host and Venue:Argentina Almirante Brown Municipal Sports Center, Almirante Brown, Argentina
Dates: May 11th – 13th, 2012

May 11th:
Venezuela 3-1 Colombia (25–17, 24–26, 25–15, 25–15)
Chile 0-3 Argentina (16–25, 13–25, 14–25)

May 12th:
Venezuela 3-0 Chile (25–22, 25–21, 25–20)
Argentina 3-0 Colombia (25–21, 25–15, 25–20)

May 13th:
Colombia 3-2 Chile (20–25, 17–25, 25–23, 25–17, 15–8)
Argentina 3-0 Venezuela (25–19, 25–19, 27–25)
