According to this report, Stacy’s feeding tube has been removed and she’s eating and drinking regular food. For the first time since her injury, Stacy walked the hospital corridors this morning with nurses at her side.

This is great! She’s back on her feet! You go girl!

We’ve also learned that Stacy’s family, who arrived this past weekend in Brazil, has decided that the American Libero will remain in Brazil for her treatment and until she is fully recovered. Doctors also added that they don’t know yet when she’ll return to volleyball but Sykora has shown a lot of positive signs as she recovers from the accident last week.

While other Brazilian news agencies have reported that Alisha Glass was/is on her way to Brazil, a very reliable source has informed us that due to undisclosed reasons she will not be in Brazil.

But again, this could change.

Finally last Saturday in Italy…

After Villa Cortese defeated Yamamay in the semifinal match of the Coppa Italia, American setter, Lindsey Berg, told the Italian press that she dedicates the victory to her best friend.

I dedicate this victory to Stacy Sykora, for me she is one of the most important people in my life. She did everything in volleyball and also outside. It ‘was a very tough week for me, but now she is well and that success is all about her “.

In case you didn’t know, Berg and Team Villa Cortese have won the Coppa Italia. Click THIS for the full match report.

We’re very happy to learn all these positive updates on Stacy and we are positively overwhelmed with the love and support she gets from her family, teammates and fans from all over the world.
