Japan’s Coach Kumi Nakada Is VERY DISAPPOINTED

Hosts Japan is out of the Final 4.

Koga and Team almost beat the Italians last night in a 5 set match but some mistakes in the tiebreak gave the match to the Italians. This loss eliminates Japan from the Final 4 of the World Championship. Italy joins Serbia, China and The Netherlands in the medal round which will start on October 18th.

After their match against the Italians, Coach Kumi Nakada shared her disappointment.

“This season we were trying to develop the team with the goal of getting a medal in this event. I am full of disappointment. We still have one match to play. The differences between us and the world’s best are many. The score difference was only one or two points, but that is still a big difference.”

It’s not over for Japan. They still have one more match on October 19th against USA. It’s just a classification match but we have a feeling that the Japanese players (like the Americans) will still play with their best lineup and end their 2018 season with a victory in front of their home fans.
