Shocker!

American player and former Stanford player, Brian Cook, made a surprise announcement on his IG a few hours ago. He has decided to terminate his contract with Italian club team, Modena, and gives us a hint that he may switch to beach volleyball.

Former Stanford teammate Evan Barry revealed in the comment section that he as registered their team for the AVP Qualifier Tournament in San Francisco, California to take place in June 2017.

Trouble in Modena? No one has said a thing but we can guess that everyone is not a happy camper on the team. Earvin Ngapeth, Max Holt and Team failed to qualify for the gold medal match in the recently concluded Coppa Italia. A few days ago, the team lost in straight sets against Verona. The team is also looking for a new coach.

As of press time, Modena is ranked 4th in the Italian League.

Hope it all works out for Brian wherever his volleyball journey takes him and we have the same wish for Modena.
