Micah Christenson Cherishes His First Season

American player and one of the world’s best setters, Micah Christenson, has shared his thoughts on Instagram about his first season as a professional athlete.

The 22 year old who played for Italian club team Cucine Lube Civitanova feels extremely thankful on his first experience playing overseas.

“Well that concludes my first professional season overseas. It wasn’t the fairytale ending we had in mind, but we had a great season and we have a lot to be proud of. I will take the extremely valuable lessons I learned this year about myself, being a professional athlete and about the game itself and continue to work to grow into the best man and player I can be. I’m grateful for my teammates for making it an amazing season and making this first year transition as smooth as it was, and everyone associated with @asvolleylube for the opportunity. #notfinished #alwaysgrowing #alwayslearning”

Micah will take a few days off and rejoins Team USA in Anaheim, California to train for the upcoming international season with 2 major tourneys, the FIVB World League and the 2016 Olympics.

No word yet if Micah remains with Civitanova for the 2016/2017 season.
