Sanja Malagurski Is NOT Injured But…

Coach Terzic says she is.

So who is telling the TRUTH?

Can we safely assume that Sanja and Coach are not in good terms?

Per cev.lu:

The Hotel M in Serbia’s capital hosted on Monday (September 15th) a special reception whereby representatives of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia – both Secretary General Slobodan Milosevic and Marketing Director Zoran Avramovic were in attendance – and many journalists wished the best of luck to the women’s national team which is about to start their campaign at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship Italy 2014. The competition will run from September 23 through October 12 with Serbia debuting in Pool B in Trieste playing there the national teams of Brazil, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, and Turkey.

Serbia’s head coach Zoran Terzic used this opportunity to announce to the media the names of the 14 players that will compose the Serbian team at Italy 2014:

Setters: Maja Ognjenovic (Chemik POLICE/POL), Danica Radenkovic (SCHWERINER SC/GER), Bojana Zivkovic (Iller Bankasi ISTANBUL/TUR)

Opposites: Jovana Brakocevic (VakifBank ISTANBUL/TUR), Ana Bjelica (Chemik POLICE/POL), Tijana Boskovic (Partizan Vizura BEOGRAD/SRB)

Liberos: Suzana Cebic (Lokomotiv BAKU/AZE), Silvija Popovic (Volero ZÜRICH/SUI)

Middle-blockers: Natasa Krsmanovic (Rabita BAKU/AZE), Milena Rasic (RC CANNES/FRA), Stefana Veljkovic (Galatasaray ISTANBUL/TUR), Nadja Ninkovic (Volero ZÜRICH/SUI)

The Serbian team will now head to Maribor, Slovenia to play there two friendly matches coming up on Thursday and Friday with another two teams participating in the World Championship, i.e. Croatia and the Dominican Republic, respectively. On Sunday, September 21, Serbia will then travel straight from Maribor on to Trieste where their World Championship will start on Tuesday, September 23, with a difficult match versus Turkey.

Where’s Malagurski?

Coach Terzic has reportedly informed that media that Sanja hurt her abdominal muscle and due to this injury she will NOT play at the World Championship knowing that the tourney will be physically demanding.

BUT…

Sanja posted this on her Twitter:

Obviously, someone is NOT telling the truth.

We really thought Sanja would play at the World Championship. She had a good performance during the 2014 FIVB Grand Prix.
