Andrzej Wrona Praises Coach Antiga

Did Wrona just compare Poland’s new coach Stephane Antiga to NBA legend Michael Jordan?

You sure about the BB Andrzej?

In case you didn’t know, Wrona and Antiga are currently playing for Polish club team Skra Belchatow. Wrona has also trained and traveled with the Polish National Team this summer with former coach Andrea Anastasi. Under the ousted coach, Wrona did NOT get a lot of playtime at all. He spent most of the season on the sidelines as the 13th player taking pictures with fans after matches.

The przystojny middle blocker tells siatka.org:

“At the beginning, when we found out about it, I was very surprised. I thought someone in the club was joking. When it turned out to be true, I was & still happy because Stephane is a great man, a great friend and also very good for choice for Poland.

I do not know anyone in Poland who in the name of Antiga somehow reacts negatively, not only among the players, but also among the trainers and activists. In addition, what is important, he can speak Polish very well, so there will not be problems with communication. I know trainers who came to work in Poland and were reluctant to learn our language, but Stephane doesn’t have that problem.

On the other hand, I’m a bit sad because this is his final season as a player. Stephane Antiga is the Michael Jordan of volleyball. I know how this sounds, but I am serious. I terribly respect him as a player and as a person.”

Did he just try to burn Anastasi by stating that Antiga speaks Polish very well and would not have problems talking to the players? Knowing that the former coach did not speak Polish during the 3 years he led Poland, Wrona better be nice.

Maybe we’re just overreacting…

Any Thoughts?
