Spiridonov Pisses Off Coach Rezende

Volleywood’s Bad Boy Alexey Spiridonov continues being a bad boy in international volleyball.

Earlier in the Intercontinental Round of the World League, he pissed off Coach Berruto and even called the Italian coach a “lunatic”.

After yesterday’s match between Russia 3-2 Brazil for the first day of the World League Finals, Coach Bernardino Rezende publicly called the Russian outside hitter an athlete who is “mentally ill”.

Per Rezende:

“Number nine in the team of Russia is crazy, mentally ill. He was provoking my players almost all the time, and the referees let him do that. Spiridonov was not the only problem, but also the referee, who punished him with the red card too late. If he previously got a red card, and continued to tease, he would be excluded. Other players deserve respect, but this guy acted totally out of control. He really needs a treatment, he is not an ordinary man.”

He needs treatment?

LOLz!

Obviously, Alexey is getting no love from Brazil. Take note, a lot of fans have started to notice his bad behavior and we just hope it won’t escalate to something more serious.

Come on Alexey! Start being nice on the court! We know there’s still good in you. Hah!

In case you didn’t know, Spiridonov was suspended in 2011 by the Russian Volleyball Federation due alcohol problems.

Maybe the FIVB should do an “alcohol test” on Spiri before each match? Hah!

Damn Vodka.

Any Thoughts?
