Osasco vs Unilever

February 23rd, 2013

Unilever played without Logan Tom, who is recovering from an injury, but still managed to take the match to a tiebreak against defending Brazilian League Champions, Sollys Osasco.

The highlight of this match would have to be Unilever’s Gabriela Guimarães aka GABI.

She was a benched player but with Logan’s injury and also when Logan is having a bad game, Coach Rezende sends Gabi to the rescue. She’s only 18!!!!!!!!! OMG! She’s going to be bigger star than she is now in the near future.

The most anticipated match of the season!

A Superliga showdown over the weekend featuring Olympic champions like Jaqueline, Sheilla Castro, Fernanda Garay, Thaisa Menezes, Adenizia vs Natalia, Valeskinha Menezes, Fofao, Fabi joined by the legendary Logan Tom and Canada’s best player Sarah Pavan.

We thought Osasco would win this match but Coach Rezende did a great job making changes when needed, ie subbing out the struggling Logan Tom for a much younger bench player named Gabi and it worked!

Watch and Enjoy This:

Speaking of Logan Tom…

We’ve received a few reports from some sources that Brazilian press is not too happy with Logan’s attitude towards them. “The press find her rude and they are not too please with her attitude especially when they try to reach out to her.” says the source.

Maybe Logan can hire Destinee Hooker as her spokesperson since Hooker is a pro when it comes to dealing with the media? Hah! JK!

On a serious note, Logan has always been a very private person on and off the court. For now, the press needs to get used to it and respect her choice to be that way.

But…

Come on Logan! Give the Brazilian press some <3! (image: Melhor do Vôlei)
