Lazarov Gets Reelected

You’ve got to be kidding us!

How in the world did he reelected as the volleyball federation president knowing he is facing corruption charges?

Despite the charges he’s facing, Dancho Lazarov has been reelected as the President of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation for the 4th consecutive term. He received a total of 78 out of 80 voting members.

Well, he was the only candidate for the position so obviously he was going to win. According to the rules, anyone interested to run for president much file 3 months before the election day.

The election of course was not drama free. According to our source, a total of 33 voting members protested against him.

The source also adds:

“We really don’t think democracy was enforced with the election and we are considering alarming the EU Commissioner Zenon Severis. We are thinking about that because our Minister of Sports met with us and basically told us he won’t do anything about enforcing the laws of the country over the Bulgarian Federation. Do you think the Commissioner will hear us?”

We hope so!

Looks like this news is another moment to be added to the ongoing drama involving the Federation, Coach Stoytchev and Matey Kaziyski.
