Coach Stoychev To Get Fired?

Really? The Bulgarian Federation wants to fire him already? Didn’t he just start this season?

Bulgaria’s volleyball program is such a mess right now.

According to a source, Coach Stoychev will meet with the Federation sometime next month to discuss about the men’s volleyball team who failed to medal at the 2011 European Championship and didn’t qualify for the 2011 World Cup. Source says the Federation invested a lot of money for the Kaziyski and Team to do well but the preparations and the money spent were just wasted.

Come on now guys! Stoychev just started! He’s a great coach so he deserves another shot. Plus, Bulgaria still has a chance to qualify for the 2012 London Olympics. It’s not the end of the road yet!

A Volleywood Friend submitted the questions that Stoychev MUST answer:

Why did the men’s team fail at the European Championship & World Cup Qualification?

What is the guarantee that the team will qualify for the Olympics under Coach Radostin Stoichev & will not repeat the mistakes made at the European Championship?

What is the guarantee that the coach will have normal communication with the Federation?

What is the guarantee that the coach no longer take decisions himself, not his right?

What is the guarantee that the money spent will produce good results?

The team was 5th in the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008, 3rd European Championships 2009 and 3rd in the World Cup 2007. Why is the team unranked and does not get the “wild card” for World Cup 2011 where 3 teams qualify for the London Olympics?

For sure he has the answers already and that he will explain why Bulgaria messed up at the European Champs.

In case you’re wondering where he is now, well he’s in Italy coaching Trentino Volley.

Good luck! We’re on your side coach!
