Anastasi Excludes Bartman

This is not happening! This is just a dream! Zbi needs to be on that team!

Sadly, Coach Anastasi has made up his mind and he has excluded Zbigniew Bartman from the final roster for the upcoming European Championship which starts this Friday. Knowing Poland is the defending champions,  for sure Anastasi didn’t want to bring a player who has just recovered from an injruy and who is not 100% in shape for the Europe’s most prestigious tournament.

We’re really sad.

Anyways, the following players made the cut:

Setters: Lukasz Zygadlo, Fabian Drzyzga
Opposites: Piotr Gruszka, Jakub Jarosz
Middle blockers: Piotr Nowakowski, Marcin Mozdzonek, Grzegorz Kosok, Karol Klos
Wing spikers: Michal Ruciak, Michal Kubiak, Bartosz Kurek, Mateusz Mika
Liberos: Krzysztof Ignaczak, Pawel Zatorski

All we can say is we wish Polska the best! Knowing other teams like Russia, Italy and Bulgaria appear to be the top favorites to win and look really strong for this tournament, it’d take a lot of teamwork for Kurek and his teammates to fight and defend their crown.

Before we forget, the top 2 will qualify for the 2011 World Cup.

Do you think Poland will be OK without Bartman?
