Bartosz Kurek Almost Broke An Olympic Record In Rio

If he scored at 4 more points, then he would make Olympic history and add an Olympic record under his name.

The Polish star scored 36 points against Russia during their pool play match when Russia won in 5. Kurek was the star of the match and was almost unstoppable. He scored 36 points – 31 kills, 3 blocks and 2 aces.

According to the FIVB, the 27 year old is now part of the “Over 30 Club” and he is next to Germany’s Georg Grozer who holds the Olympic scoring record with 39 points.

He is also the second Polish play to score over 30 in the Olympics. Former player Piotr Gruszka scored 30 at the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
