Turkey Without Neslihan Demir In Italy

Is this really happening?

After missing the 2014 FIVB Grand Prix, 2006 and 2010 World Championship Best Scorer Neslihan Darnel Demir is not 100% OK and will therefore miss the 2014 FIVB Women’s World Championship in Italy which starts in less than 2 weeks.

The left handed star player is still treating a shoulder injury.

“Turkey played really well during the Grand Prix Finals and they could’ve won a medal if Turkey had a reliable Opposite Hitter.

With Neslihan missing again for the World Champs, Turkey may do well but Neslihan’s absense will limit their chances from winning a medal. Coach Barbolini will now rely on her 2 wing spikers, Sonsirma Gozde and Neriman Ozsoy.” according to an insider.

Middle blocker Busra Cansus is also injured.

Team Roster:

Middle Blockers: Özgenur Yurtdagülen, Kübra Akman, Ceylan Arısan, Bahar Toksoy.
Opposite Hitters: Seda Tokatlıoğlu, Polen Uslupehlivan.
Setters: Naz Aydemir, Asuman Karakoyun.
Outside Hitters: Neriman Özsoy, Meliha İsmailoğlu, Gözde Sonsırma, Güldeniz Önal.
Liberos: Gizem Karadayı, Merve Dalbeler.

This is THE FIRST MAJOR tournament for Turkey in over a decade without one of the world’s best scorers. So do you think TURKEY can win a medal without Neslihan?

YES or NO?
