Coach Speraw Describes Setter Micah Christenson

Admit it, you’ve always wondered what kind of person is your favorite player is on and off the volleyball court. If you’re a Micah Christenson fan, you’re lucky to know how amazing your idol is according to Coach John Speraw.

USA Volleyball’s Lori Okimura wrote in one of her blog posts during the Grand Champions Cup the words Coach Speraw used to describe Micah after being asked “”What is Micah Christenson’s character like and what is your plan for him in the future?”.

“First and foremost, Micah is a good person on and off the court, of the highest moral character and integrity. And, that his exemplary volleyball abilities combined with the talent of the players on this team give the USA plenty of options to consider as they prepare for Tokyo 2020.”

At 24 years of age, Micah already has an Olympic bronze medal, FIVB World Cup gold medal and FIVB World League gold medal.

What’s next for Micah?

Micah will compete with Team USA for World Champs qualifier next week. After that, he will fly to Italy to join Osmany Juantorena and Lube Volley for the upcoming 2017/2018 pro-season.
