Zenit Hires Iranian Volleyball Superstar Saeid Marouf

Zenit Kazan is on a hiring spree this 2014/2015 season!

The wealthy Russian volleyball club team just recently hired 2014 Volleywood Idol and 2014 World League Best Setter Saeid Marouf for the rest of the season. Marouf now joins other Volleywood superstars like Cuban Wilfredo Leon and American Matt Anderson.

Marouf arrived in Kazan over a week ago and started practicing with the team already for their matches in the Champions League and the Russian League.

The setter becomes the SECOND IRANIAN volleyball player to have ever played in one of the world’s BEST professional leagues outside Iran. Behnam Mahmoudi was the first Iranian who played for Perugia Volley in 2006.

With quite a few achievements on his resume, Marouf’s contract is reportedly close to $1,000,000.
