Matey Kaziyski Joins Stoytchev & Zygadlo

July 17th, 2014

Matey tells gazzetta.it:

“There were many interesting offers from Italy, Russia, Turkey & South Korea but I decided to wait until the end because I wanted to return to Trentino. I know the city, the coach, the people and the whole environment. This is why I accepted the offer and lowered my salary. It’s not all about the money.

I believe in this project and in these people.”

There’s also a rumor that Matey’s father is trying to convince his son to return to the National Team. The new head coach and former player Plamen Konstantinov really wants Matey on the National Team.

We’ve heard this news so many times but then Matey always denies his return unless the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation will get rid of some corrupt people.

Stay tuned…

MATEY IS BACK!

Trentino fans rejoice!

After 1 season in Turkey, Bulgarian volleyball superstar and 2012 My Volleywood Idol Matey Kaziyski returns to Italy to play for his old club team, Trentino Volley.

Matel tells cev.lu:

“I feel like I never left this place.

Even during the time I spent in Ankara I never surrendered the hope that one day I would come back. There have been moments where this looked like a distant dream and others where I could feel that this scenario was going to materialise. What really matters is that in the end everything has gone well and we are starting from where we left, as our coach said.

We do not want to just participate in the national league, we have to try to beat every opponent because this is within our reach.”

Despite the departure of Opposite Hitter Tsvetan Sokolov who will play in Turkey for Halkbank Ankara with Osmany Juantorena, Trentino still looks a strong team with Matey, Zygadlo and Slovak-born opposite Martin Nemec and no dount the team has what it takes to win the Italian League and the CEV Cup.
