The BIGGEST Volleywood Stars Of The #CLF4Rome

The semifinal round kicks off tomorrow with Germany club BR Volleys facing defending champions Zenit Kazan and Lube Volley versus the hosts Perugia in the other semifinal match.

These 4 teams are dubbed as the 4 best club teams in Europe this season and they are also the home team of some of Volleywood’s biggest volleyball stars.

12. Paul Carroll (BR Volleys)

The Australian opposite hitter is playing one of the best seasons in his professional career. Aside from one of the team’s leading scorer, he is also one of the most experienced athletes on the court.

11. Alexander Berger (Perugia)

The Austrian outside hitter is slowly making a name for himself as he takes that starting position since the injury of 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Aaron Russell.

10. Robert Kromm (BR Volleys)

The team’s best outside hitter really needs to step up against Zenit. The same thing he’s been doing all season. This is the best version of Kromm we’ve seen in a long time.

9. Maxim Mikhaylov (Zenit Kazan)

The 2012 Olympic champion still remains as one of the best players in his position.

8. Micah Christenson (Lube)

We can’t wait to see the wonders he is going to do this weekend.

7. Luciano De Cecco (Perugia)

Watch out for the De Cecco vs Christenson SETTING showdown tomorrow!

6. Matt Anderson (Zenit)

Another Champions League gold for Mattie? Wait and see!

5. Tsvetan Sokolov (Lube)

He is just having A GREAT SEASON and we can only hope he will lead Lube to the Final Match. First, we look forward to the Sokolov vs Atanasijevic showdown.

4. Jenia Grebennikov (Lube)

The world’s best and most adorable libero never fails to amaze us.

3. Wilfredo Leon (Zenit)

Stay tuned for another LEON SHOW!

2. Osmany Juantorena (Lube)

A lot of us look forward to seeing 2 Cubans in the finals: JUANTORENA VS LEON!

1. Ivan Zaytsev (Perugia)

He is the poster boy of this tournament.

The only surprise here is that Zaytsev will most likely play as an Outside and he hasn’t been in his best playing this position. He is so used to playing as an opposite but this position goes to Atanasijevic for Perugia.

Let’s see what Ivan can do. Regardless, people will no doubt be watching him all night long on the court.
