    Players Unite For Safronova!

    Almost a dozen players from 3 teams competing in the semifinal round of the Russian Super League unite to raise money for their friend and teammate, Natalya Safronova, who is recovering from a stroke since December 2009.     One volleyball living legend from Cuba. One of the world’s most unforgettable athletes who played his heart out at the 2000 Olympics. The Volleyball Player of the Century in 2001. A 3 time Olympic from Argentina who represented his team for almost 16 years. The first African-American woman to win a Beach Volleyball World Championship in 1986. One of the founding fathers of the FIVB, representing Czechoslovakia at the inaugural FIVB organization meeting in April 1947. No doubt they are volleyball legends.

    It all started at a high school girls volleyball match in Indiana. After a physical confrontation involving 2 dads & 1 extra, the case is getting bigger and bigger! One father has claimed that the incident has caused him several injuries & has also affected his income. We think this is a silly case. Even the judge asked them “Parents, what the h*ll?”. Toink!
