Will Lioubov Sokolova play in her 6th consecutive Olympics?
Sokolova, who has 2 Olympic silver medals, traveled with the team at the EOQT but played a very limited role. If Lyuba plays in Rio, then she will definitely make history playing in 6 consecutive Olympics (1996 – 2000 – 2004 – 2008 – 2012 – 2016) just like former teammate Yevgeniya Artamonova.
We hope she remains healthy and gets another shot to finally win an Olympic gold. She has so much experience that will be valuable to the team.
We also have a feeling Gamova will return.
