Corozal VS Meagan Ganzer
The Puerto Rican League is getting a slice of DRAMA within the last few weeks.
Puerto Rican club team, Pinkin Corozal, released a statement 2 weeks ago on why they let American player Meagan Ganzer go.
During training Megan has complained of suffering from severe spasms throughout the body, this fact shows that this player is not in a 100% performance. On January 23, 2013 during a press conference held by the Corozal Pinkin which were delivered uniforms, took the decision to withdraw and not continue to participate in the same. Megan has refused to share the housing designated for reinforcement players (Dominican players Gina Mambru & Priscilla Rivera). This requires you to relocate to a new place of dwelling or otherwise do not play with the team. Information sent via a statement released by his agent, Steve Welch, to the administration of Pinkin.
So the team was NOT satisfied with her performance, find that’s an acceptable excuse. What bothers us the most is the other excuse stating that Ganzer refused to live with the other players from the Dominican Republic. We really hope Corozal is not trying to suggest that she is RACIST because it’s a very serious accusation.
Ganzer Fires Back!
Girlfriend posted this on her Facebook Page last January 25th:
I was not able to play in the game against Mayaguez because the staff of Corozal did not pay the agency fees owed before I arrived in Puerto Rico and as of yesterday were more than 20 days late, this prevented my transfer from USA Volleyball to be completed. They also did not have me sign the forms for the federation which I had requested a week earlier in English.
We really want to know her reaction on Corozal’s other accusations, ie being unprofessional and somewhat not comfortable with the Dominican athletes.
As of press time, Ganzer is playing in Turkey for TED Kolej.
Stay tuned for more updates because we have a feeling we’d be hearing more from Corozal or maybe Meagan.
