Kari Klinkenborg

Who is she?

Well her name is Kari Klinkenborg. She used play for University of Florida. Since she’s too hot to wear knee pads, Kari decided to wear less instead make a name for herself in the modeling world. Knowing that she’s got it, then no doubt she could make it!

You Go Girlfriend! Represent!

What’s your major and why did you choose it?

Telecommunications (Production)- I love TV, movies and Sports and hope to work in one of those areas in the near future! Education- I’ve always loved working with children Sport Management- Again because I love sports and it familiarized me with the management aspects of sports

What do you plan to do when you graduate?

Hopefully take about 2 months and travel. I want to just take some time and really evaluate what I want to do as far as a career and just see the world and help people! After that, I plan on moving to LA or NYC and hopefully working with a production company for awhile. That is my plan for now, but plans seem to have a way of changing, so I’m just taking things one day at a time and seeing what God has in store for me!

Name one thing people shouldn’t miss in your college town.

Attend a football game in the SWAMP, it’s unreal, and definitely the best part of being a Gator!!!!! You also need to stop by the Swamp restaurant before or after a game because it’s a Gainesville tradition, and make sure to get some sweet potato fries!

How would your best friends describe you?

Independent, vibrant, stubborn, competitive, loyal, honest, spontaneous, caring, realistic, forgiving, determined, self motivated, and private.

When nobody’s watching, what can we catch you doing?

Well, when no one is around I JAM out to my favorite music and pretend that I know how to sing….PRETEND being the key word!!!!:)

What would your ideal vacation be?

I love going to Beaver Creek with my family and I also love vacationing at the beach! I would say anything that involves being outdoors, relaxing and having my family and a special someone around sounds about perfect to me! I really want to go to Bora, Bora, Africa, and Japan, so right now those would be ideal!

If you won the lottery, what would you do?

Take care of my family, pay for my little sister to go to college, buy my parents a house in Telluride, buy myself a house near them and my older sister, invest a very large portion of it, find a great charity or organization to donate it to and most likely travel around and volunteer. Once I was done traveling I would take the money that I invested and open a coffee shop with my sisters!

If you could do something completely spontaneous right now and not get in trouble you would?

I’m a total girl when it comes to receiving flowers, I know they are a waste of money…but I LOVE getting them, it’s just so thoughtful and makes my day, and they just brighten up any room!!!!!!!!!!

Where is the most beautiful place you’ve ever been?

My parent house last Thanksgiving…we were about to sit down to a candlelit dinner and it had just started snowing outside, there was just so much love and thanks in the house….it was perfect! Oh, and St. John and Beaver Creek are pretty Spectacular also!

Admit something embarrassing.

What is your most prized possession?

I’m actually embarrassed to admit this one too, but I would probably have to say my phone or my computer! I go to school very far away from my entire family and I am always traveling, so that is my one way of always being in contact with them!

Tell us something you’d love to do but are too scared to try.

Open a business with my sister…I’m nervous to start it, but it’s going to happen…soon!

How do you impress a cute guy at a bar?

I have no idea, I’m hoping to meet Mr. Right outside of a bar, and I don’t really go out too often, so when I want to impress a guy in a bar, I’ll get back to! haha

What can a guy do to impress you?

Just be genuine! I think when a guy is confident and not afraid to be himself in any situation, that is so attractive! Also, when he actually pays attention to what I’m saying, and really want to get to know me and what I’m all about. Oh, and has a great smile, I can’t resist those!!!!!! 😉

As a kid, did you get into trouble?

Well, I’ve always been very stubborn and like to have the last word, so I was constantly being put on “restrictions” for that. Eventually I just learned that getting the last word isn’t always as satisfying as you think it’s going to be. And when I was really young, I use to bite! Yeah, I know, kind of crazy, but if someone made me mad, I’d bite them, and I passed that wonderful trait onto my baby sister when she was younger too! haha

What’s your best quality?

I try not to judge anyone! One of my favorite quotes is “when you judge another, you don’t define them, you define yourself.” I’ve learned that it’s easy to judge from the outside looking in, but when you judge someone, you don’t have time to love them. I don’t like it when people judge me and what I’m doing in my life, so I try not to do it to them either.

Do you have a hidden talent?

I can find anything on google in under a minute, and can find a quote to fit any mood or situation…it’s probably not a very useful trait unless you’re an online shopper or doing research!

Tell us something that people wouldn’t believe about you.

buy clothes, and leave the tags on them in my closet and then about a year later donate them to Goodwill with the tags still on them….I know, total waste of money, but I have every intention of wearing the stuff when I buy it!

What has been your best memory of college so far?

Wow, there are a lot: volleyball introductions, the 2005 volleyball SEC tournament in Alabama, playing in the O’dome, my puppy Jake, Thanksgiving visits to Shands hospital, Goodwill Gators, college football games in the Swamp, movie and TV nights with my roomie’s, Chick Fil-A ice cream runs with Em, being a Gator, when my family would be at my games in Gainesville, team Thanksgiving at my parents house, and just all the people I’ve met and life changing/eye opening experiences that I’ve had over the past four years!
